I spent a very long time in Water stones yesterday with my eyes fixed on nearly every book!
One that stood out to me was FLIPNOSIS by author Kevin Dutton, this is because I am intrigued by the way we use our minds and how the world tends to fuck us over most of the time without any of us even noticing!

'THE ART OF SPLIT SECOND PERSUASION'

This book will broaden your perspectives about what persuasion is, and along the way present some case studies.
'From the malign but fascinating powers of psychopaths, serial killers and con men to the political genius of Winston Churchill - via the grandmasters of martial arts, Buddhist monks, magicians, advertisers, salesmen, CEOs and frogs that mug each other - Kevin Dutton's brilliantly original and revelatory book explores what cutting-edge science can teach us about the techniques of persuasion.'

There is success in persuasion ....

.... i feel like just leaving and settling in a waterfall.

Frank Lloyd Wright home of Fallingwater

This home puts me in AWE, It has character and I feel calm just looking a this photograph, with use of natural elements and materials, like the edgy stone, it just feels pure! The real magic is water flowing through the home. ahhh bliss.

I know I know. It's just a number.. I saw it through with lots of Mo-town, night by night, rum, netball, meat balls and sweaty boys. PurrrrFECTiON.

I haven't got much to say apart from my holiday back to Portugal was bliss obviously......
My favourite part was getting to eat LAYS (how awfully lame is that! my 'favourite part was fuckin crisps?? IGNORE THAT.oh help)... I still don't know the flavouring, GUESS paprika??
but anyway. ADDICTION. I came away knowing that Nata means cream and stacking it face first like an ironing board on your fake birthday makes a girl like I - SNAP, CRACKLE, POP AND FREAK out a thousand emotions a second.
Luckily for my good friend Mr.Portobello... the aftermath to this unexplainable night out resulted in him listening to me make my self throw up with my toothbrush (after I heard him have a large hang over poo - Otherwise known as a hipH.O.P. ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR kids)
Indeed he THINKS I was chucking my whole inner system up in the B day. D day? Bum wash thing?? - but I was in fact just unzipping my reptilian form layer of chocolate coated brown skin off cos I had an itch. Oh well. One fine daisy picking day my boy will figure.... what a geeeeeeeeee man. (btw - below is; THE PORTOBELLO MUSHABOOM, he doesn't usually pull off this look so well, but the teefed shades worked so well I just had to smack this up)

I ALSO SAW A UFO. BUT NO BODY BELIEVES ME SO I CANNOT EXPLAIN MY EXPERIENCE JUST YET... JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL EVERYONE STOPS LAUGHING AT ME

Was in the shower washing my hair... i know this is not a frequent occurrence for me (sSShh) but the hair was lapping the tiles and falling out in clumps! So I took the opportunity to create something.

Lake of stars @ Rich Mix Shoreditch, I have been getting my voluntary work underway and started by doing some front of house work and photography at the lake of stars event w/ Tinashe (pictured below with the founder of Malawi lake of stars festival) He has a beautiful voice, calming presence and is generally a very nice man!!

www.lakeofstars.org for more information about Octobers Malawi festival.

I also met two super nice girls who work for the new cola company called UBUNTU COLA. It is a fair trade cola and it's sugar comes from Malawi. Great soft taste! You can purchase from Waitrose a just 59 pennies! SUPPORT!

Overall the night was a success ; I met some inspiring people who gave me the drive and confidence to get done what I WANT TO GET DONE, I smiled pretty much all night and took a lot away with me, thanks to V inspired for the opportunity!

..............The end of the week resulted in me falling off a curb. Smacking my eye on a lamp. Tripping over my dress. And being beaten by an oblong pillow whilst riding a bike. I'm still hanging hazardous off my head.

Oh did I mention I only met the elusively explicit Tracey Emin down brick lane!

after this random seeing Aisha and I over indulged in food. Again. No surprises there.. but check these Cheese cakes for CHEESE CAKES SAKE!
Kinder Bueno and Reese's Peanut butter. Heaven in a square soft disguise.

.. I need to get me some of these!

"Product designer Nancy Wu has a history of hacking away at Nikes to create strikingly original open-toe designs (check out her experimental Nike Remixed and Recut collection). Someone at the Swoosh must have noticed, because Nike Sportswear got her on board to create these ancient Roman-inspired Gladiateur sandals. "

Went to the Lomography store near Carnaby Street with my dear friend Vinz. His socks were not up to scratch so he changed them. Simple. After this I had the most luscious Peanut butter and Banana milkshake. OH MY DAYS, thinking about it makes me tingle.. woahhhhh I was trapped in a milkshake daydream!!

Favourite: ridiculed by local kids on the estate? > Gymbox > Boxing > RESPECT

Yesterday I woke up at 8 , got all dressed for work.. didn't feel like putting any make up on and walked to the DLR, so I was sneezing, eyes like a paddling pool - thinking 'PLEASE FUCK OFF IRRITANT HAY FEVER' I made it all the way to work to realize it wasn't hay fever and I couldn't move my arms with out my muscles screaming at me or the feeling of sick erupting from tummy to throat every 5 minutes... Even so I did 2 full hours and HAD to duck outta that place.

On my way home there were moments where I was going to flop down but managed to compose myself till I got to 4B. I fell asleep and woke a 12.30am, CONFUSED!! I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS, you know that feeling right?! slept through DAY AND NIGHT? Anyway I like to diagnose myself because nothing says I can't. I say half a case of swine full. Dr. Patel done. So I unfortunately couldn't make it out on a girl episode with Aisha, so she visited me this morning with Pan au Chocolat Croissant and FLOWERS! ONE LOVE AISHA not just because of this but because she is one in a million and induced some sort of MAJESTIC VIBE in my room making me feel better... we even did exercise would you believe! <3#

Last week I went to my first roller disco since I was what maybe 7?! I DID NOT fall over once (but they tell me that's because I didn't do much rolling pfffft) To be fully honest.. I did take off my rollers so I could get my groove on 3/4 through the evening- I felt restricted OK!

After this I ran home and ate CAKE with Jamie. LOOOOOOOK OHH ARRR MMM.

Right roll back to February and my trip to Thailand and Cambodia. My lord I think I fell at the gates of heaven in these two countries. When I arrived it was hot, sticky, humid and PERFECT we didn't have a place to stay.. all the same I had my big sister (with the knowledge of google) to find us a roof and the adventures began.

From Bangkok to Phuket, Phuket to Koh Phi Phi, back to Bangkok, a 6 hour LONG SWEATY journey to the Cambodian boarder BACK TO BKK. Just managed to miss the worst of the red shirts rally.

WORTH EVERY PENNY. WOULD DO IT A THOUSAND TIMES OVER.

Sending all my love to the worlds most beautiful, cleaver and truly inspiring young children of Cambodia.. forever in my heart. x I have so much more to say but you might have to ask me in person cos i could BLAB ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT.
